Large Outdoor Sound System Supplied for Annual Fireworks Display (November 2002)

Once again this year ITC provided a large outdoor sound system for the Church Stretton Fireworks night.

Due to the poor weather conditions, numbers were slightly down from the 4000 + which normally turn out at this annual event.

The 15K sound system comprised 4 Full range speakers positioned on top of the 4 Shermann CB-218 base cabinets, with a further 4 speakers on 6 meter wind up stands to cover the large area. ITC also supplied a silent generator (42 kva, 3 phase) which was required to run the large system.

The compare used a UHF radio mic to relay information to the large crowds, with music playing in the build up to the Fireworks display. A relay speaker allowed the company co-ordaining the display to set off the fireworks in conjunction with the 18-minuet music track, which had been specifically compiled for the event.

The Event coordinator, Dave Mathews, commented “Even in poor weather conditions over 3000 people turned out, great sound with brilliant coverage”.
